The media industry continues to change and evolve at an unbelievable speed. It seems like almost every week we hear of another consolidation, a new way of receiving our TV and radio programs, a new way to measure the viewing and listening audiences, a new entertainment venue, and on and on. Clients are demanding more accountability from vendors accepting their marketing dollars. Our employers are expecting better quality, higher productivity, and more understanding of new media from each of us. How do we keep up with these constant demands and changes and still have time for a personal life?
Atlanta Alliance for Women in Media wants to help you to succeed. Our 2012 events will once again focus on education and self-improvement.. A full calendar of events will be going out to members in the near future. You can expect to see events featuring:
• Representatives from Arbitron and Nielsen detailing how the changes in their methodologies are affecting ratings
• Experts discussing how to improve your salesmanship
• Panel discussions on new media including Pandora and I-Heart-Radio
• A fund-raiser to benefit our educational foundation and chosen charity
Come join us as we gain a better understanding of the changes affecting our industry and make ourselves more valuable employees.
The Alliance for Women in Media, Atlanta affiliate invites you to join us. Our future is bright and exciting. But to be THE Atlanta media network we need a diverse membership. We invite all men, women, young, old, professional, student, or retired to contact one of our Board members for more information. Or come to one of our events to see just how much fun we have at doing good.
